How to request a website migration to Snapps
How to request a website migration to Snapps
Snapps does not directly transfer a website between platforms. A migration recreates the existing website in Snapps using the design and content from the live site.
Request a migration quote
- Sign in to your Snapps account.
- Open Migrations or select Need migration from the dashboard.
- Complete and submit the migration form.
- Include the current website URL and the requested site details. The migration team will review the site and provide a quote and estimated timeline.
A simple site with 10 or fewer pages has been quoted at $50. Pricing can vary based on the number of pages, content, design, and complexity; examples include quotes from $50 to $300. A $5 migration request fee may also apply.
Migration timelines vary according to the migration queue and site complexity. Typical guidance is up to 10–14 days, although some sites may be delivered in a few days. Other quotes may specify a different estimate, such as 3 or 7 working days.
Domain and hosting requirements
The migration team needs the current site URL to recreate the site. Before moving the site live, confirm that the client owns or controls the domain. If the previous agency or hosting provider owns or controls it, the client must obtain control from them before the domain can be pointed to Snapps. The client should also end the previous hosting service separately if they no longer want to be billed.
After the site is recreated and ready to publish, connect the domain by updating its DNS records to point to Snapps. Follow the DNS Made Simple guide. The domain can remain registered with its current registrar, such as GoDaddy; it does not need to be transferred to Snapps to connect it.
Some designs, animations, or functionality may require changes because of Snapps platform limitations. The migration team aims to keep the recreated site as close as possible to the original.
