How to safely remove manually added schema markup from individual pages

If schema markup was manually added to a page through an HTML widget, remove it from the page's HTML in developer mode.

  1. Back up the site before editing the page.
  2. Open developer mode and search the page HTML for the previously added schema code. Using a distinctive portion of the original code can make it easier to locate.
  3. Remove only the schema markup, leaving the surrounding page structure and content unchanged.
  4. Save and verify the page, including its images and layout.
  5. Repeat the process for each duplicated page that contains the manually added markup.

Avoid editing the schema code itself unless necessary. Changes to page HTML can unintentionally remove or affect other page elements, including images. If a page is damaged, restore it from the site's backup.
