How to transfer site ownership with the current owner's consent
Site ownership cannot be reassigned by removing the current owner without consent. The current owner must initiate the transfer or explicitly consent to it.
Transfer the site
- Make sure the recipient has a Snapps account using the email address approved by the current owner. If the email is not associated with a Snapps account, create an account with that email first.
- The current owner initiates the site transfer to the recipient's account. If the transfer link expires, the current owner must initiate the transfer again.
- Log in to the recipient account from a laptop or PC. The dashboard is not optimized for mobile devices, which can prevent the transfer controls from appearing.
- Purchase a subscription plan before accepting the transfer. From the dashboard, click the three dots on the lower-left profile area, open Account Settings, select Subscription, and choose a plan. A single-site plan is sufficient.
- On the dashboard, click the Transfer Request button, open the request, and click Accept.
After acceptance, the site appears in the recipient's dashboard and is owned by that account. Shared sites and personally owned sites can exist on the same Snapps account; there is no separate account type for shared sites.
