Unpublish a Site

Unpublishing your site will make it no longer visible on the internet. While the site will no longer be publicly visible, you will still be able to make edits to it and republish it later without losing the site or its content. Unpublished websites that have not been edited for six months or longer can be removed during cleanups. Making a small adjustment, such as editing the homepage H1, counts as activity and can help keep the site active. However, unpublishing does not automatically stop billing or free a site slot: the site remains included in your site usage, and its subscription payment will continue until you reduce your site usage in your subscription settings.

To unpublish your site:

1. In the left panel, click Settings.
2. Click Site URL.
3. Click Unpublish.

After unpublishing, go to your subscription settings and reduce your site usage to remove the site from billing. If you purchased more site slots than needed, contact support to adjust the plan to the number of sites you use. For example, a 10-site plan was changed to a 5-site plan when only five sites were published, and the extra charge was refunded. When changing plans, the new invoice reflects the selected base plan plus any additional site slots. When you are ready to use the site again, you can republish it at any time.
