Create Dynamic Pages
Note For more information on limitations, see Collections. A Dynamic Page is connected to a content collection and used to generate multiple pages with unique content but the same design. You can either create a new Dynamic Page, convert an existing page to a Dynamic Page, or use a predefined Dynamic Page that is already included in the platform. Google Sheets can be used as a collection for generating Dynamic Pages. For more information on collections, see Define a Collection for Dynamic Pages. Customers with a custom plan can create a collection from an external database through the API. The first step in creating Dynamic Pages is to define a collection. Collections contain lists of items that have the same type of information (name, location, image, and so on). Every site can have up to 100 collections. Note Collections for Legacy Pro and Team plans are limited to 1 internal collection per site with 10 rows. Internal Collections for Agency and Enterprise plans are limited to 100 rows and 30 fields. The final step in creating Dynamic Pages is to create a list of links to navigate to the different pages. This is done by adding a List widget and connecting it to your Dynamic Page. Dynamic Pages allow you to generate multiple pages from internal or external content collections, dramatically speeding up the process of creating and updating multiple pages at once. Note For information about specific limitations when creating collections, see Collections. The ideal use case for Dynamic Pages is building a website that contains multiple pages with the same structure, but different content. After creating a Dynamic Page, the next step is to connect your widgets and each element on the page to fields in the collection. To see a list of supported widgets and data types, see Connected Data. Note The Video widget is only available in Dynamic Pages. Connected Data allows you to connect site widgets to data that is maintained in external sources and/or inside the site’s Content Library. This enables you to have one source of truth to build websites more quickly, keep websites up-to-date and accurate, ensure site-wide consistency of important information, and more.
