Store SEO Settings

The Store allows you to customize your SEO settings for your products, on a per product page basis.

Note

This feature is only available on the Standard Store and higher.

With the Store SEO fields, you can create separate titles and descriptions for your products that will form the metadata that will be seen by search engines.

To customize your SEO settings:

  1. In the left panel, click ecommerce, and then click Manage Store.
  2. Click Catalog, and then click Products.
  3. For the product you want to customize SEO for, click Edit Product.
  4. Click SEO.
  5. Type the Page Title and Meta Description for your product page. You will also be shown a preview of what your pages will look like in a search engine.

Note

Search engines generally truncate snippets longer than 160 characters, so it is best to keep meta descriptions between 150 and 160 characters.

For information about titles and keywords, see Site SEO Settings.

SEO Friendly Page URLs

The URLs of eCommerce products, categories and other store items are SEO friendly and can be better indexed by Google. These products and categories URLs are included in the sitemap.XML that is automatically generated for every site upon publish/republish. The new URL format looks like this: https://www.mysite.com/store/My-Product-p123.

While adding custom code can extend your site's functionality, we recommend you only add code from a trusted source. Only add code if you know exactly what it does and how to troubleshoot it if it does not work. To learn more about using HTML in Developer Mode, see Developer Mode.
